I've realised I haven't updated this in a while! Attached is a review of my concert with the Eblana string trio for the Clitheroe Concerts Society on the 8th, and the following day I was part of an ensemble playing pieces by fellow composers Laurence Tompkins, Michael Perrett and Tom Rose, but sadly can't find a link for this! Here's some of Laurie's music anyway.

A review of my performance of the Hindemith Oboe Sonata with Jeremy Young can be viewed here and, having realised I left a previous update with a cliff-hanger, here is the information about the Frankfurt trip I've just been on!
Also, here is an upcoming concert with the ACM Ensemble where I'll be giving the première of a new piece by Michael Cutting together with pianist Michael Davies.

New website finally online.

The new website is nearing completion! A lot has happened in the past year or so which definitely necessitated a major overhaul. I have recently completed a piece for oboe and piano entitled "Binary Music" which will probably appear on the site in the near future; it is essentially a three-minute answer to regular rhythm (my treatment of which has hitherto not satisfied me and something which doesn't seem to come to me very naturally). Once I find a willing pianist, I will give it a go myself.
